Sports Bras are here to stay
Remember when a top used to mean a t-shirt or a sweatshirt? Luckily for us, we can now wear crop tops and sports bras in a wide variety of colors, fabrics and padding. Thanks to the growth of athleisure and its influence on casual clothing.
Be careful when choosing your size. Most people who wear bras are wearing the wrong size, and don’t know what a good fit looks or feels like. It is very important that the sports bra is the correct size otherwise it will not support you properly during exercise. Be sure to choose an “impact level” that works for you. Higher impact sports such as running require a higher “impact level”.
Longline Bras are our favorite, they offer more coverage than your typical sports bra. Most of the longlines have 6 hooks and eyes, so they can be a bit fiddly to put on. Be wary in the summer or in a warm climate they might feel more constricting/less breathable than a regular bra.
Whichever is your level of fitness or the activity you practice, we think you will love the activewear collection of .
The right leggings for every activity
Let’s be honest, you shouldn’t be wearing the same pair of leggings for everything. Leggings come on different fabrics made for the level of impact that your activity is going to demand. If you wear a low-level impact fabric to a high-level impact activity you risk damaging them.
Do you prefer a cottony fabric, breathable, sweat-wicking fabric? This is the fabric that comes to everyone’s mind when thinking about yoga pants. Or maybe you prefer a naked-sensation fabric that is insanely stretchy, lightweight, buttery soft. Feels like a second skin. These ones are Great for low-impact activities such as yoga and pilates.
Our favorites are the Wunder Under from Lululemon. The are very stretchy and are available on different fabrics, just be sure you get the right size!
Hoodies are everywhere
Invented in USA, Alabama in 1920, by Ben Russell Jr. As a replacement for the uncomfortable wool jerseys they were forced to wear during basketball practice. His suggestion, a soft cotton jersey, which became the sweatshirt that we know today. Today they have become more of an activewear athleisure staple while maintaining their origins.
A sweatshirt should fit one of two ways: tight and hugging the body or loose and boxy. They were primary invented to absorb large amount of perspiration. On fashion they can be personalized and added to just about any type of top. They come in all types of fabrics and in every color you can imagine.
If you are on the streetwear side, you can’t go wrong with an oversized hoodie. They have our favorite embroidered, solid colors and crop top hoodies.
