Okay girls let’s talk about self care, what does this mean?
The Google dictionary defines it as “the practice of taking action to preserve or improve one’s own health.” or “the practice of taking an active role in protecting one’s own well-being and happiness, in particular during periods of stress.”
In other words, self care is to feel yourself and your own needs so you can be in peace with your inner self #It’sAllAboutYou!

Writing a journal can keep you handy and release whatever you need to. Psychologist say that it’s helpful to write about a problem, fear, struggle, or memory that is keeping it us back from life. But it is important to do it by hand because this will help you to slow down and process your situation more fully than by doing it on the computer.
For some people it can be difficult to write about a pain. Our advise for them is to write about your day or make a list of your favorite candies or movies so they can start feeling more comfortable with the activity. #JustWrite.

2. Move your body
Everybody says it: Exercise releases endorphins and endorphins make you happy, and happy people are feeling themselves! The secret to fully enjoy exercise is to find the right activity for you. Try everything! Cardio or Zumba videos on youtube, some online yoga classes or running around the block! If you can get yourself to start exercising, then you will seriously be doing yourself a service.

We’ve seen it in all our “I love #MeTime” movies: The shower is a place to be alone and focus on yourself. Especially if you put some music on, light up a candle, and start using all those bath and body products that make your skin feel smooth and soft as a cloud.
After that precious time, get your robe and a glass of wine and enjoy in bed your favourite book. You’ll thank us later.
4. Make food
Release that little inner chef inside you by cooking yourself that recipe that you’ve always wanted to try! Cooking by yourself with some music up will nourish your body and mind and make you feel every taste and smell. At the end, making yourself a meal is a practical way to show yourself some love, and this is what this article is all about.
But if you are not that an expert in the kitchen, you can try this cooking appliances to make it a little bit more easy!
5. Deep breathing
This activity should be part of our daily routine because it help us to connect with our mind and focus on our body and feelings for a few minutes. The ideal is to practice breathing in for 8 seconds through your nose and exhaling for 8 seconds through your mouth and repeat it several times. The physical plus of this is that the added oxygen to your brain will help you calm down, lower your heart rate and quell rising stress levels.
Try doing it on a yoga matt or in your bed so you can feel comfortable.
6. Animal interaction
Care for yourself by caring for your pet! Scientific studies have shown that interacting with an animal will lower your heart rate, drop your blood pressure and reduce stress. And if you want them to thank later, you can pamper them with some JD Williams pet care items!
